One of my favorite dishes growing up: Arroz đ con Leche đ„ đ
Though I am not a big fan of sweets, this meal is comforting for me. My mother would make this sweet rice and I would look forward to it each time.
I now add some things, and remove some ingredients, to fully make this recipe my own. My way is thicker and creamier. I even use a different grain of rice than she preferred. A perfect dessert for a chilly November day.
I did not have a happy childhood, but, I cherish the small amount of good things. I then put my own spin on it, to remind me that I do have a voice. My needs do matter. I am in control.
